Martyn Broadest

Martyn has a 30+ year career in housing, beginning in private sector housing standards in the early 1990s in Leeds, then spending a period in local authority housing strategy, before moving to his current role as an Executive Director at West Yorkshire based social housing provider Connect Housing in 2002. Martyn has responsibility for development, asset management and maintenance at Connect, and is also leading their response to the Climate Emergency. In that latter role, Martyn also works across wider organisations, including the West Yorkshire Housing Partnership and the Mayoral Combined Authority. Martyn also brings housing perspectives as a Commissioner on the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission.
